Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a fantastic Halloween and that the hurricane hasn't affected you all too badly! We didn't get hardly anything here in Dayton other than some rain, snow and wind but I know my friends and family in NW PA were hit pretty hard. Here's hoping that everyone is safe and sound now! :]
I know you're probably all still in the Halloween mood, but I'm bringing a little Christmas to the table, because today I have for you my first of three posts showcasing the new Santa Claws collection by Jindie Nails!!! I'm so excited to share these with you - they are amazing, as always. I have never had a bad experience with Jindie Nails, her prices are super affordable and everything I've gotten from her has been perfect. And this holiday collection is no exception. I can't wait to show these to you so without further ado, check out the first three polishes :D
The first one I have to show is Candy Cane. It's a milky white "crelly" base with cherry red matte and metallic hexes and a few metallic green hexes also. This polish reminds me of those Christmas cookies!!

The polish does build up in about three coats, but to preserve polish I wanted to try layering it over a white base. I used Milani White on the Spot and 2 coats of Candy Cane on all the nails except my thumb, which shows three coats of Candy Cane on its own.

There are larger red hexes in the polish, but I had some trouble getting them to come out without fishing. I did get one out on my thumb without trying, so I think with a lot of shaking or rolling of the bottle you might have better luck. :]

Next up, I have Holly. Jen describes this as: "Green & white matte hex with larger matte red hex plus dark green shimmer." She thinks it looks like a holly bush and I totally agree!!

I thought this polish would look especially Christmasy over silver or gold so I layered over both! I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep, and Pure Ice Jaguar for the accent. Below shows 2 coats of Holly, but I think if I did it again, I'd use just one. I was trying to get several of the red hexes out and I think I painted the other glitters a bit too dense.

I think I like it best over gold. Sorry for the chip on my ring finger - this was after a day of wear and I messed it up at work! I think the tiny green microshimmer really makes this polish! When the light catches it, it really sparkles :]

And lastly for today - the namesake of the collection - Santa Claws! This polish is packed with matte square glitters in red, green, white, and black. Jen's inspiration was Santa's outfit, and I think she was totally successful! :]

This was another one I thought would look great over silver and gold, so I did the same colors for undies - SH Insta Dri Silver Sweep and Pure Ice Jaguar. This is another one I ended up liking better with one coat than two. In the photos below, my thumb, middle and ring have 2 coats, and my index and pinky have just 1. Which do you like better??

The only issue I had with this one was that the biggest red squares were hiding a bit, but I could get them out with fishing. You can see them on the thumb, and one that got stuck on the top of my ring finger lol! Again, I think the rolling method would help a lot with getting these babies out easily!
