Daring Digits: Hunter and Warlock

Happy Saturday lovelies! I have a quick swatch post to share with you today. My family is coming into town today so I will be MIA. I'm so excited since I haven't seen them since Christmas!

So I have two polishes from Daring Digits to share with you today. I bought these quite a while back during a sale, and this was my first experience with this brand. I picked up Hunter and Warlock - and just FYI, I have zero interest or knowledge about WoW, but these polishes won me over. I want to save time and say here that for both of these, the formula was great. No clumping, just the right amount of glitter, no placement needed. Very easy to work with :)

First up is Hunter. It's a blackened base with holo shimmer as well as larger brown and dark grey hexes and squares. I chose to layer it over black. The following swatches show 2 coats of Hunter over Milani Black Swift, with HK Girl topcoat! :)

Next up is Warlock. This one REALLY impressed me. The base is a sheer orangeish pinkish jelly, and it's full of orange, iridescent pink, and holographic micro glitters. I layered 2 coats of Warlock over Milani Jiffy Orange, followed by HK Girl.

This mani was blindingly gorgeous, especially in the sun! Next time, I definitely want to try this one over black. It's truly stunning.

So what do you think of these two? Warlock is definitely my favorite - of course, since I love orange and pink! I'd love to hear your thoughts below! :)

Kiss Me I'm Irish

Hey everyone!
Today I have a swatch post for you that I haven't gotten a chance to post yet, I know I'm way behind! This is Kiss Me, I'm Irish by Candy Lacquer! This was my first experience with Candy Lacquer, and I was impressed. :)

I wore this right around St. Paddy's day and I absolutely LOVED it. Also, this is when I had my talons, and it makes me kinda sad because I miss them. Grow nails grow!! :)

These swatches show about 2 coats of Kiss Me, I'm Irish over a plain black creme. I used Poshe topcoat and everything laid flat, except for that one pesky star on my pinky! Another coat of topcoat would have taken care of that, though. I did do a bit of dabbing with the larger shaped glitters, like the hearts and stars, to try and get an even distribution, but overall, formula and application were no trouble at all.

Though this was a while ago, I distinctly remember SO many people asking me how I "did" that to my nails. It's so hard to explain to non-polish addicts that I didn't do anything but put it on lol. My response is usually "It's just glitter." But then they continue to look at me all perplexed, back at the nails, back at me...it's a hard life. Haha I actually think it's pretty amazing to create a glitter SO awesome that people can't understand what it is lol. So for that, kudos, Candy Lacquer!
Seriously though, I love this polish. I bought a couple others along with this one and love them both as well. I will definitely be picking up more Candy Lacquer in the future! The shop looks like it closed at the moment, but be sure to check them out and follow on Facebook for updates on restocks. :)

Jindie Nails Spring Chic collex (Pic Heavy)

*These products were provided to me in exchange for my honest review*
Hey everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, and mother's day! I spent my weekend with my boyfriend's parents (next best thing to my own parents) and we had a ton of fun doing wine/beer tasting and walking around one of my favorite towns in the area: Yellow Springs! It's a really fun little artsy hippie town about a half hour NE of Dayton, and it also has my favorite pizza place! I was a happy (and very full) girl this weekend.

Anyway, I have a post that took me forever to edit and get posted, and for that I apologize. But, I assure you - these polishes are worth the wait! Have a look at a few of  Jindie Nails Spring Chic collection. :)

First up is HipStar: Periwinkle crelly with a mix of neon pink, neon purple, metallic silver hex, stars & dots.

The following swatches show 3 coats of HipStar on its own, with Seche Vite topcoat. For the most part, this is how the polish went on. I did hand place the big dots and hexes a little bit just to evenly disperse them, but they honestly were no trouble at all, which surprised me for how big they are! So overall formula was wonderful, especially for how packed full of glitter this is.

I absolutely love the base color of this polish, and how bright the dots and hexes stand out! Perfect for spring/summer.

Next up is Nude Beach:  A nude crelly base with a mix of metallic sand colored sparkling hex,  iridescent hex, matte white hex & tiny stars plus and abundance of neon orange, neon blue, neon pink, neon purple, neon green & neon yellow hex in several sizes.

I think this one has to be my favorite of the bunch. It's just such a unique polish, I can honestly say I don't own anything like it. And it's so reminiscent of sand and the beach, especially with the white stars. I could see this being a perfect pedicure polish for a beach vacation! :) The following swatches show 3 coats of Nude Beach alone, with Seche Vite topcoat.

Formula was great on this one as well. I love the depth that the neon hexes give when layered under the nude base. It looks to me like bright, shiny treasures partially buried in the sand!

Here's Mango with the FlowPastel bright peach crelly with metallic silver hex, blue & purple iridescent hex, lime green/gold iridescent hex.  Opaque in 2-3 coats.  Meant to be worn alone.

This little beauty fought with me a bit, but it was so worth it, lol. I applied 3 coats and had a bit of trouble with bumpiness/grittiness just because it's SO packed full of glitter, but you'll be fine as long as you take a little care with application. Seche Vite helped a lot with smoothing it out, too.

Like I said, being careful with application is a small price to pay for this gorgeous end result. This polish just looks so yummy, like orange sherbet or some fruity summery smoothie. The iridescent glitters really stole the show, though. In the bottle shot above, you can REALLY see them, but they pop out like crazy on the nail in certain angles.

If I had to pick a second favorite, or a tie for first place, this is it.
Check out Pickled Tink:  This is a new limited edition polish.   It's a bright pink crelly with silver and light pink small dots, light pink holographic larger dots, light pink and silver tiny stars.

First of all, I can't even look at the name without laughing. Say it out loud to yourself if you need a good giggle. Then again, maybe it's just me lol. Name aside, this polish is absolutely stunning. It's so bright, it kind of smacks you in the face - in the best sense possible! This is 3 coats of Pickled Tink alone.

These first few photos were taken indoors at night, with artificial lighting, so they don't really do justice to the brightness of the pink base. I absolutely love the iridescent glitters here, they flash bright purple!

This next photo was taken in natural indirect sunlight, and it is probably the most true to color. This is what it looked like in real life. It's like a gorgeous shimmery strawberry jelly! And you've probably figured out by now that I'm a sucker for dots, so this polish is just a win on all levels. Formula was great too. No need to fuss with anything during application. It just looks this good all by itself!

These polishes retail for $5.00 for a medium size (8 mL) bottle, and $9.00 for a full size (15 mL) bottle.

I was super impressed with the polishes I got to try from the Spring Chic collection. Jen did not disappoint, as per usual! These four polishes are simply perfect for Spring and Summer! They are unique and beautiful and the formula is great, too. Not to mention that Jen is one of the best in the business when it comes to customer service. She is super sweet, and she's committed to making sure each and every customer has a great experience, and that is a rare quality! :)

Rainbow Polish - Lava Flows

*This product was provided to me in exchange for my honest review*
Hi everyone! Today I have a lovely Rainbow Polish to share with you called Lava Flows. It is part of this summer's Escape Collection. I received this in the mail as a surprise and I was not disappointed. It is gorgeous! :)

It literally is everything I could ask for in a polish. I love warm colors (orange and pink are my favorites) and this polish definitely has all of that!

I couldn't tell just by looking at it if it would be a glitter topper or a stand-alone polish, so I just decided to try a coat. I ended up doing 3 coats of Lava Flows alone because I discovered that it's got a beautiful berry JELLY base! It covered VNL for me completely in 3 coats.

I had ZERO issues with this formula, except I was in a hurry with cleanup and I apparently missed some tiny glitters on my thumb! Totally my fault, though :)

The polish just sparkles so much in the sun, it is really beautiful. It's so bright and fun! I got a lot of compliments on it. I even wore it for several days before taking it off, which is saying something for me lol.

I really love the depth that this polish gets when worn in 3 coats on it's own. It really looks like a pool of lava! I can already tell this one is going to be on my nails a lot this summer.
This polish retails for $8.50 for a full size (15 mL) bottle, and is currently available in the Rainbow Polish Etsy shop.

Let me know what you think of this polish below! Do you like any of the other polishes in the Escape Collection?? Fish Lagoon is calling my name :D

Jindie Nails: Barney Blew Up!

*This product was provided to me in exchange for my honest review*
Hello all - hope you're having a lovely Friday! My Friday was actually yesterday so I'm super happy today because it's my day off :D
Today I have a fun swatch post for you. As you probably know, Jindie Nails is one of my favorite indie brands of all time, and during one of my recent purchases, I received some lovely samples to review, this was one them. This is Barney Blew Up!, named by the amazing Leah Ann Llarowe!

This awesome polish is a light purple base, with white hearts and hexes, purple hexes and squares, and some green hexes.

I applied 3 coats, since that's my general standby ,and I had no issues. The hearts, if you want to, can be hand-placed, but I honestly had no issue getting them out. This is where the hearts ended up on their own, with normal brushstrokes. Formula was great, as usual!

I think the smatterings of green really make it look like Barney's guts!!

What do you think of this polish? I have yet to be disappointed by a Jindie Nails polish, and this was no exception! I think it's adorable! Let me know your thoughts below <3

Be sure you check out the new Jindie Nails website, it's awesome! And follow Jen on all her social media sites to keep up to date on restocks and new polishes. :)
