Jindie Nails - Honey Blue Blue and Barbies Have More Fun

Hello all, Happy Monday! I know, that's kind of an oxymoron. But my work week starts on Sunday, so Mondays don't feel as awful to me. Anyway, today is the start of something amazing. Jen from Jindie Nails was generous enough to send me samples of her fabulous Winter Chic collection with me, so that I could share it with you all! I cannot say enough positive things about Jen, she is an amazing person and each collection she comes out with impresses me more than the last. This collection seriously wowed me, and all I can really say is sorry to your bank accounts.

I had so many photos for each polish that I'm going to have to break them up in twos so I don't completely photo-spam you all. First, here are some bottle shots of the entire collection.

When Jen sent these polishes, she included a note to bloggers that she created the majority of these with the intention that they would be worn alone, so that her customers would not have to worry about layering, combinations, etc. She wanted to make polishing nails a simpler task for her customers - how wonderful is she? I can attest that that will definitely make a difference to those customers who are not as familiar with the polish world. Trying to explain layering to my mom was no easy task...so I think Jen's idea is genius!
Anyway, speaking of which, I've got two of Jindie Nails' latest crellys for you today - Honey Blue Blue and Barbies Have More Fun.

First up is Honey Blue Blue. Seriously, who wouldn't love that name? I was laughing about it every time I looked at my nails.
Bottle shot
Here's the description of Honey Blue Blue:
"Medium blue crelly with royal blue and emerald green holo hex & bright blue hex in several sizes. Meant to be worn on its own, opaque in 2-3 coats. No fishing."
Macro shot
The following swatches show 3 thin coats of Honey Blue Blue. If you're more heavy-handed, you can get away with 2 coats, but I wanted to be sure there was no VNL so I went for 3.

This polish is seriously stunning! I love the shade of blue, it reminds me of like a robin's egg blue. I had no issues with building it up either, formula was perfect. No clumping, no fishing, everything came out just fine on its own.I used 1 coat of SV to top it off and all the glitters lay completely flat.

Next up is my second favorite of this collection - Barbies Have More Fun (you will have to stay tuned to find out what my number one pick was)!

Bottle shot
Barbies Have More Fun is a gorgeous mix of pink and black glitters in a white crelly base. I mean, of course it looks pretty in the bottle, but I fell in LOVE once I saw it on my nails!

Macro shot
The following swatches show 4 coats of Barbies Have More Fun. It would have been fine with 3 coats, except my stupid nails are extremely stained and wanted to show their yellow tips through the polish. You can still sort of see it here, ugh - ignore that please! O_o

Jen's description of the pink matte glitters as "Barbie pink" is spot on. I LOVE these two colors together, and the white base makes it really unique! Formula was again, perfect as usual. Sometimes white crellys are tough to work with or streaky, but this one is not at all - it builds up beautifully! And I love that cute waffle pattern you can see on the matte glitters in the close up shots - so cool. :) This is one I will definitely be buying when she restocks!

Both of the polishes shown here retail for $8 for a full size bottle, and $4.25 for a mini size. Right now, Jen has her shop on vacation mode while she catches up on orders, but I expect it will open up again shortly. In the meantime, favorite it! And be sure to like her Facebook page to keep up to date on restocks and other information. She is great about keeping us all in the loop! :)
