Kunimitsu Nail Potions - You're So Koi

Next I want to say, sorry about the sporadic posting lately, I'm really trying to work on getting a routine set up, but it's tough. Usually I come home from work at midnight and do my nails and try to take photos the next morning if I get time but it doesn't always happen - then factor in time for editing and you get: random posting! I'm going to try and get on a better schedule because I have lots to show you!

Today I've got an AMAZING polish to show you. This is my first experience with Kunimitsu Nail Potions and I fell in love! I think I first saw this polish shared on FB by the wonderful Lace and Lacquers, and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it. I would like to introduce you to...You're So Koi.

Here's the description from the Etsy shop:

"You're So Koi has various sizes of black, orange and white glitters in both matte and sparkly metallic, and loads of iridescent glitters and even tiny shreds of red flecks. A must have for Koi lovers everywhere." 

I knew exactly what I wanted to layer this over - I had just received my package from my Secret Santa on Reddit, and she sent me a wonderful OPI that has become one of my favorite shades - Stranger Tides. I will have to do a full post on that one soon, because it's gorgeous! I did an accent nail of China Glaze For Audrey just to mix it up. The following swatches show 2 thick coats of You're So Koi over the two base colors I just mentioned. My thumb is two coats of YSK alone. I topped off with Seche Vite and everything felt flat!

It was really hard to capture on camera the true iridescence of the blue/green hexes, so I took a photo in shade, where they really seemed to glow - just like scales!

I can't express how much I adore this polish! It honestly looks exactly like a Koi fish. Shipping was extremely fast (like unbelievably fast) and customer service was great! They have got some other beautiful polishes in their shop that I'm sure I will try (some of them are based on cats, hello!?) and I'll be sure to share swatches with you all! :)
