Hi everyone! You may remember the post I did a while back using the Orly Stripers to create the starburst design. Well, I also did a second look using the stripers and the CALA Butterfly Water Decals! Just to remind you, you have a chance to win a brand new set of these items by entering
my giveaway, which you can find here. It ends the 16th, so get those entries in! :)
Anyways, for my second nail art look using this kit, I wanted to incorporate both items, so I started with a mani featuring the stripers.
Then, I broke out the water decals. Instruction were listed on the back of these, but if you've worked with water decals before, it's the same.
These decals were super easy to work with. Just cut out the butterfly of your choice, drop some water on the back, or submerge in water (which is what I did, I just think it's easier and less messy) and then peel off the design and slide it onto your nail. If you don't get the right placement at first, you can drop a bit more water on your nail and slide it around a bit to get it where you want it. Then, add a layer of topcoat and done!
I got a ton of compliments on this mani, and the best part was - it's really simple to do! Striping brushes make lines in nail art easy, and the decals are effortless.
What do you think? What have been your experience with water decals? I'd love to hear below! And don't forget to check out
Nail Art Society's website, and while you're there, have a look at
my Guru page. I'd love to find out what you all think of it!
Thanks for looking! <3
