Mentality: Offbeat & Require

**I want to note that I am no longer affiliated with, or a supporter of, Mentality Nail Polish. Please see my post detailing my experiences with Mentality by clicking here for more information. In short, I would STRONGLY recommend not buying Mentality due to harmful effects that their polishes have had on some people. Even if you've been having an issue and you can't say for sure that it's Mentality polish that's causing it, discontinue use immediately. I didn't know what it was and by the time I realized, serious damage had been done to my nails. They are still not healed. Just don't take any chances. I will leave up my posts where I have reviewed or swatched Mentality polishes because I don't want to just delete them and pretend like nothing happened. I would also recommend reading these great, informative posts by Ashley is Polish Addicted and also The Mercurial Magpie who explain what's happened. Lab Muffin also offers some really interesting possibilities for what specifically about the polishes could be causing these effects.**

Hi everyone! I've got another series of Mentality swatch posts for you this week. Today, I'll be starting with two lovely blue shades - Offbeat and Require!

Offbeat is described as a blackened dark teal holographic nail polish. Of course I didn't have any sun when I wore this, so the photos I got are in my lightbox.

I used 2 coats for these photos and formula was perfect! I had no trouble whatsoever. My photos are showing this as more blue than it was IRL. It was definitely closer to teal and probably a touch darker than it appears here. It's really a unique shade!

I also got a photo with flash to really show off those holographic sparkles! :)

Unfortunately, Offbeat is no longer available - I waited to long to get this one apparently! But, I know from inside sources that Mentality is purposely clearing space to make room for even more amazing stuff! ;)

Next up, we have Require. This one is part of the Metallic collection.

Require is described as an aqua metallic nail polish with gold flecks. It is truly stunning! I took this next photo in the lightbox with the top up to cover any glare. This kind of lighting really shows off the flecks, which I love!

Luckily I had some sun this day, so I was able to get a shot in natural lighting! Require was seriously so amazing in the sun. I love how unique it is! Formula was excellent on this one too, this is 3 coats - and no problems at all to report. :)

Lastly, I took a shot with flash to really show off the gold flecks. They really stand out in person!
