Now, onto tonight's post. It's the 4th day of the FiA Challenge, and today's theme is Cloudy Days, so of course I had to do clouds! I had gotten some new neutral colors lately and I was excited to try them out, and I think they make a good combination for a cloudy day mani.
I used Essie's School of Hard Rocks for a base color on all the nails, then for the clouds I layered Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep and Nina Ultra Pro Ink-ling. For the "rain" on my accent finger, I dabbed on a bit of Wet n Wild Kaleidoscope.
Here's a closer shot:
I'm still working on my cloud-painting technique, but I'm getting better! Here's a picture in the sun :]
Let me know what you think! And don't forget to check out the other ladies participating in the challenge!
Good night :]

Oh my god I JUST did my nails with the silver lining xD Great minds think alike!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see yours Sharra! I bet they are awesome :]
DeleteI LOVE this mani. I've been dying to learn how to do the cloud lines.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've found it's easier to make the clouds rounded with a smaller brush - the SH Insta-Dri brushes and the Nina Ultra Pro brushes are really too fat for it!
Deletelool great minds do think alike I did the same type of nails, love your take on it :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, awesome! I can't wait to see them :D
DeleteLooks beautiful:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Essie! ;]
DeleteI love your clouds and they are so perfect for fall.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I agree, it has been really cloudy and rainy around here lately so they felt appropriate!
DeleteYour clouds turned out great! I tried to do this once too- I'm sure doing it more often will improve it for both of us, though I think you did better than me :D
ReplyDeletevery interesting!
