Glimmers by Erica: Don't Be a Drag, Just Be a Queen (pic heavy)

Hey everyone! This week I have something very special to share with you!! The wonderfully talented Erica over at Glimmer by Erica was gracious enough to share some of her creations with me, so I've decided that this week at Nails for the Sake of Sanity will be "Glimmer Week" and I'll be swatching and review one polish each day!
For today, day 1, I have Don't Be a Drag, Just Be a Queen. First of all, love the name! And this polish was so pretty and sparkly even in the bottle - I couldn't wait to try it out.
Erica describes this polish as:

"This polish is fabulous, babe, fabulous! It is a vibrant, sparkling red with silver prism glitter and beautiful red hearts."

The hearts sort of surprised me! I haven't seen swatches of this online, so it wasn't until I was looking straight at it that these hearts jumped out at me.
Check out the bottle shot!

And of course, a macro shot:

I thought there were a lot of colors that this glitter would look awesome over, so I tried a bunch. For my thumb, I didn't use undies - just 2 coats of Don't Be a Drag... plus 1 coat of Gelous and 1 coat of SV. The rest of the undies from index to pinky are: Wet n Wild French White Creme, Rimmel Lasting Finish Black Satin, Orly Rage, and Confetti Lonesome Dove. On these fingers, I used about a coat and a half of Don't Be a Drag. I say half because I played around a bit with placement of hearts. They came out easily and I didn't have to fish, but I liked moving them around slightly to right where I liked them best!

I absolutely loved this mani! It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland in a way...and it was just so flashy and eye-catching. It went on like a dream, no clumping or anything - which is impressive considering how packed with glitter it was, and especially with the oversized hearts. Like I said, I found the hearts needing just a bit of help with placement because of the size but I'm totally fine with that.

Here's a closer shot:

I think I actually ended up liking it over Rage best - the red and gold go really well together!

I also took close ups of each finger, to really show all the different sizes and shapes of glitter:

This polish would be great for Valentine's Day, or anytime you just want to sparkle! What do you guys think?

Glimmer by Erica polishes retail for $10.00 USD for 15 mL.
