Cosmo Vox Box Review

Hey guys, I've got something just a bit different for you today - it's actually NOT polish related! :o Shocker, right?? A while back, I was notified that I was approved to be part of a program through Influenster where you receive a box of goodies to review and share opinions with blog readers. Of course, I was super excited to take part in this, and my first box (Cosmo Vox Box) arrived really quickly after that!

Here's a list of the items included in the box, along with their values:

And here's everything all pictured together!

And here are the items I received in my Cosmo Vox Box, along with my thoughts and opinions:

First up, the Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Chocolate Sea Salt Escape.

I have NEVER had chocolate with sea salt in it in any form, and to be honest, I didn't expect to like this. I like chocolate covered pretzels, but that's about where my taste for chocolatey and salty ends. But, I was pleasantly surprised!!! The milk chocolate was delectable as usual, Ghirardelli's chocolate is unmatched in quality. The sweet crunch of the almonds was a nice touch (I love almonds). And, the sea salt was definitely there but not at all overpowering. It was just salty enough to make the bar unique and incredibly delicious!

Next up are the Frixion pens by Pilot.

I love pens! I've always been an office supply geek, so I was excited to get two pens! I wouldn't say these pens are my favorite, but they get the job done. My only complaint is that I'm more of a ballpoint fan than the gel...I just feel like my writing becomes sloppier with gel pens, but other than that, they're nice. The fact that they erase is pretty cool - I like to use the black one for my work paperwork for that reason.

Next up is the Venus Embrace razor. It came all packaged up in a cute organza bag with an Olay refill blade and a coupon!

I LOVE this razor. I had been using an old Gillette Mach 5 (not sure why I was using a men's razor) so this one is a nice change. I love the shape of the blade - it's flexible and the shape fits well with the curves of my legs and underarms And the silky ribbon-thing along the outside feels luxurious and leaves my skin feeling super moisturized. I haven't tried the Olay blade yet, because I'm still loving the one it came with, but I can't wait!

And last but certainly not least, my FAVORITE item that came in the box - Forever Red Eau de Parfume from Bath & Body Works!

This perfume is just phenomenal! I have several perfumes and body sprays that I had been using, but when I got this box in, this instantly became my go-to. I immediately put it on my Christmas list, since I use it every day now and it is quickly running out! It is surprisingly grown-up for B&BW in my opinion. It's fruity, floral, and somehow spicy at the same time. To me, it feels like the perfect scent for a night out, when you need to feel beautiful and sexy.
Since I had a hard time describing this one, here is B&BW description of this scent:

"Lavishly spray on our luxurious fragrance and radiate our passionate blend of pomegranate, red osmanthus and a sexy surprise of vanilla rum. Our sophisticated new pump delivers great coverage and delicate mist for the lightest, most refreshing way to fragrance.
  • Top Notes: Fiery Pomegranate, Rare French Peach, Luminous Apple
  • Mid Notes: Red Peony, Night Marigold, Red Osmanthus
  • Dry Notes: Rich Vanilla Rum, Velvety Marshmallow, Oak Wood
  • Aloe conditions and nourishes skin"

Well, that's all for me tonight! I hope you enjoyed my first ever Vox Box review - I hope it is the first of many! I really enjoyed getting the chance to try out all new things that I probably wouldn't have tried otherwise.

What do you think of this Vox Box? Have you ever received any boxes like this to review? Which items would you like to try or have you tried? I would love to hear below! <3

  1. If you like caramel, you gotta try the Sea Salt Caramel bar! (drool, slurp, sigh)

  2. Have you ever tried chocolate-covered potato chips, like Pringles? I thought that they'd be nasty, but somehow, tasting the salt and the chocolate together, it's really good!

  3. I haven't gotten any Vox Boxes yet, but I can't wait to get one. Influenster is fun, and the boxes are a really neat way to try several products at once. Do you use BzzAgent, Smiley360, or House Party? Those are also free products in exchange for opinions :) Let me know if you want any links/invites!
