Hey lovelies! Quick swatch post tonight. I ordered some Vivid Lacquer polishes during the Black Friday sale, and I got two free minis with my order! I wanted to share swatches of two of the polishes I got. One of the minis was called Fairy Tale, and it's a medium grey jelly with a scattered holo effect.
This polish was pretty sheer. If I were to do it again, I would definitely layer this one over a grey or even white or black. It took about 4 coats to get it this opaque, partially because of my stained nails.
Speaking of stained nails, they also gave me trouble with this next polish - the amazing Fairy Bread!! This polish is absolutely gorgeous, and I got SO many compliments on it. It's a white base full of hexes in all different colors and sizes. The following swatches show 4 coats of Fairy Bread with Seche Vite topcoat.
See my gross yellow nail line showing through?? It drove me nuts! This polish could have been wearable in 3 or maybe even 2 coats if my nails weren't so badly stained. Next time I'll use a base coat of white to conserve polish. I've tried EVERYTHING to whiten my nails - I have a review planned soon of a new whitening product I found at Walmart, so stay tuned! :)

I love fairy bread! I am hooked on the white base with multi glitter, especially matte. Very cool!
ReplyDeletesuch pretty polishes! The stain remover that you found new at walmart, does it have neon pink writing on the box? I saw that too and was very curious but I didn't buy it. So I'm intersted to know what you think of it! :D
