Star Candy Polish: Mokona

Hi hi! Today I've got a lovely polish to share with you from on one of my fellow redditors, Tamara. I bring you...Star Candy Polish!!

Tamara is just starting out, so she just has a handful of shades out so far, but they all look awesome in my opinion! I got the opportunity to review Mokona, a gorgeous subtle glitter topper.

Mokona features a sheer whiteish jelly base full of holographic microglitter, red hexes, and silver moons. It very much reminds me of space and it's perfect as a layering polish over many different colors.

For the following swatches, I did 2 coats of Mokona over Milani White on the Spot and Black Swift and added 1 coat of Seche Vite overtop.

When you see Mokona over black, you can really see the pigmentation in the base. You could definitely layer it in 3 or 4 coats for full opacity if you wanted to. I also would love to see this polish over a Tiffany Blue, or a light purple! It seems really versatile.

Overall, I really liked this polish!! My first experience with Star Candy was definitely a good one. I had no issues with formula, everything applied smoothly and evenly. Personally, I would have liked just a bit more pigment in the base, but for a glitter topper, it's perfect!
