Jindie Nails: Strung Out on Guns & Roses in a Fun House

Warning, guys - this one is pic heavy. I've got my last three polishes to review from Jindie Nails! Well...for now - because I've got news for you guys! I got a bunch more in the mail today, haha. I will have more gorgeous Jindies to share with you soon.

Tonight, I'm starting with Fun House of 1000 Corpses, another one from Jen's Hellaween collection. I've got to be honest, this one wasn't my favorite on me. I felt like the color didn't flatter my skin tone at all, but it's still totally unique and awesome.

Fun House has got a neon yellow base with red, green, blue, and purple glitters in different shapes and sizes such as hex, square, bar, and moon! Jen wrote that this polish reminds her of a fun house and I couldn't agree more!

Below is 3 coats of Fun House, no undies. The moons were a bit tough to get out, but I thought they were worth the fishing - they add something really cool to the polish!

This polish built up really nicely and it's definitely not your typical polish - I can honestly say I don't have anything like this in my stash. Formula was great, as per usual, I just didn't like this one on me. :]

Next up is Guns & Roses. Aptly named, I thought, since it has a gunmetal base with rose and fuschia glitters in it!

I found this polish really tough to photograph! It was really shimmery and awesome, but my photos do not do it justice, so I apologize in advance! Also excuse the slight tipwear, this was after a couple days' wear.

My thumb shows 2 coats of Guns & Roses with no undies. For my index and middle, I did 3-4 coats for full opacity. Here's the interesting thing - I wanted to try layering this over black, too, so that's what I did on the ring and pinky, but...you can't even tell the difference! It's a matter of preference whether you like building up a polish to opacity or layering. I personally think I prefer layering because then you preserve the polish and you get more uses out of it! :]

Here's some more shots of Guns & Roses:

Last up today is my favorite of this bunch, Strung Out on Compliments. I had never used these matte neon glitters before, but Jen seriously made me fall in love. Strung Out features micro matte glitters in blue, neon green, and black.

I loved, LOVED this mani. I wore it for several days, which hardly ever happens! I wanted to try Strung Out over several different colors so I used (L to R: OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Wet n Wild On a Trip, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Heat Flash, and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Presto Pink. All photos show 2 coats of Strung Out over the base colors I just listed (with the exception of the index because I smudged it and tried to cover it up with another coat!), and one coat of SV overtop. :]

So what do you think of these three? I'd love to hear about which Jindie Polishes you own and which are your favorites! <3

  2. I love the last one Kelly!! I'm not really too into the first one on your skin tone either! It would actually probably look better on a darker skin tone like mine. Very interesting!! <3

    1. Thanks Maggy! It sucks when you come across colors that just aren't flattering but you live and learn! That's my Irish heritage coming out lol, I'm too pale for yellow/greens!

  4. The name creeps me out but Fun House of 1000 corpses looks like a confetti party in a bottle! Strung out looks a lot like Floam and Guns&Roses is really pretty too!

    1. Lol, I guess a Fun House of 1000 Corpses would be pretty creepy! I didn't connect Strung Out with Floam, but you're totally right! :]

  5. I have several of her polishes I love them all. I never have to fish or dab they all apply like normal polish. But I don't have many with large glitters though I have tiny very curved nails so I learned my lesson and I avoid larger glitter polishes. I just love fun house of 1000 corpses its so pretty I wish the base was green though Yellow looks horrid on me :(

    1. I found out that the yellow is not flattering on me either!! It's definitely a really unique polish though :} And I know what you mean, it's important to choose polishes that work with your unique nail shape and length! I do love her formula too, it's awesome :]
